At the annual Virginia Tech College of Engineering faculty reception, awards were presented to engineering professors for teaching innovation, research, service, and outreach.
Among those were civil and environmental engineering faculty:
Gerardo Flintsch – College of Engineering Dean’s Award for Excellence in Research
Montasir Abbas – College of Engineering Dean’s Award for Excellence in Service
Kevin Young – College of Engineering Certificate of Teaching Excellence
