Jason He awarded Walter L. Huber Prize

Jason He, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, has been selected to receive the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Walter L. Huber Civil Engineering Research Prize. He was selected β€œfor pioneering the development of osmotic bioelectrochemical systems for resource recovery from wastes, significantly contributing to innovative technologies for wastewater treatment, and for advancing our understanding of interactions between microbe and solid electron acceptors/donors and its potential applications in environmental engineering.”

The prizes are awarded to members of ASCE that have made notable achievements in research related to civil engineering. The award was established in 1946 and given for the first time in 1949 in honor of Walter L. Huber, past president of ASCE.

He will receive the award during the ASCE Annual Convention in December.
